Who we are

The Half Moon Inn, Ryton Village, Tyne and Wear, is the data controller for Half Moon Rewards. Contact: [email protected].

What we keep

Your first and last name and email address.
Your password, stored only in scrambled (hashed) form so nobody, including us, can read it. Your login is a Luna Loyalty account, the platform that runs this scheme, so in future the same email and password can open cards at other venues. Each venue keeps its own card and stamps.
Your date of birth. We use it to check you're 18 or over, and may use it for a birthday offer. It's deleted along with your other details.
Your rounds: when, which drinks, stamps earned and free pints used, and which staff member recorded them.
If you report a problem: what you wrote, any screenshot you added, the page you were on and your type of phone and browser. We use this only to fix the problem. To stop spam, the report form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser is being used by a person.
If you ticked it: your agreement to occasional offers emails, when you agreed, and the exact wording you saw.

Why

To run the scheme you joined (contract), to send account emails (confirming your address, password resets and sign-in links you ask for), and, only if you opted in, to send occasional offers (consent). You can turn offers off at any time in Settings.

Who can see it

Bar staff see only your first name and card balance when they scan your card. The owner can see member details to run the scheme and fix mistakes. We use an email provider to send emails. We don't sell your data.

How long

If your card hasn't been used for 24 months, we'll email you, and 30 days later delete your name and email. Problem reports are deleted 90 days after the problem is closed, or when your details are deleted. Anonymous totals (for example, how many pints were recorded) are kept.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Ask at the bar or email us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
